Hello world! Allow me to introduce myself and explain what it is I'm doing here. My name is Amanda, I'm 26, almost 27, and a first time homeowner. I'm slightly a OCD, perfectionist, dog owner, do-it-yourselfer, crafter, photographer, save the Earth enthusiast, bargain hunter (also read as: cheap), gardener-to-be, single woman on the dating scene, thrift shopper, collector, sporadic health nut, who is terrified of spiders (and even more so of centipedes).
Hmm. Yes, I think that about sums me up. ;)
Now what am I doing here? Well that's simple. From time to time I go in to work with stories for my co-workers involving my dog, spiders, or experiences in being a first time homeowner. I guess they are entertaining stories because one of my co-workers suggested I write a book with all of them. I find writing a blog a little easier. So here I am! And as you can guess, here you will find stories/entries with a varieties of topics ranging from first time homeownership (helloooo! can you say "clueless"?!), to my attempts at cooking, trying things on Pinterest, my dog, spiders, dating, changing my oil, etc. Basically, anything I experience in this thing we call "adulthood" is fair game.
I have a few projects coming up that I'll try to remember to take pictures for. In the meantime, I will try recount some of my past experiences and write an entry for each one (there aren't THAT many, don't panic!) later on. For now I'll keep you in suspense!
